Where’s the Fast Forward Button?

July 20, 2004

November. *sigh*

That’s the earliest we’ll probably be able to move to Maine…unless a large sum of money falls into our laps before then. I know it’s only 4 months away, but….4 months! Aargh! I wanna move NOW!

I know I should take the time and visit all the places in Florida that we’ll actually miss – there aren’t many, but there are a few. I’d like to visit the beaches (Maine has beaches, but all beaches are different) and we still haven’t visited the Keys. I’d like to at least visit Key Largo – the movie buff part of me would kick myself later in life if I were to live this close and not visit at least once. We’d like to visit DisneyWorld again, but that costs some money, which is something we’re trying to save, not spend. Maybe we can find some discount tickets somewhere. I’d really like to try that Space adventure ride at Epcot.

And I should savor the convenience of-well, everything-while I still can. Right now, everything I need or want is just a few blocks away. That’s not true in Maine.

Nope, not working. Right now, that sounds really nice. No more fighting traffic just to get down the block, no more fearing that watching my husband leave to go pick something up at the store might be the last time I see him because of the MORONS they allow licenses to down here. And while I’m sure Maine has it’s share of punks who think they’re hot *BEEP* because their car is vibrating from the ridiculous volume of their radio, I doubt that it’s as abundant as it is down here where punks seem to breed like rabbits.

I hate punks. They live to be incosiderate and I find that deplorable.

I’ll leave you with this thought:
Madness is rare in individuals, but in groups, political parties, nations and eras it’s the rule. –Friedrich Nietzschi
